Iyengar Yoga · Hualien, Taiwan

The journey of the body is a map to the heart.

A place to soften, repair, and find your energy again.

Shu-Ying sits cross-legged on a rock at the mountainside, face lifted, with the green ridges of Hualien behind her.

The next few days

Autumn 2026 · 2026-09-14 – 2026-12-03

Shu-Ying balances on one leg in dancer’s pose on an empty beach at sunset, under a pale apricot sky.

About the teacher and the studio

Never done yoga?

You don’t need to be flexible first.

The Beginners’ Course is built for people who have never done any of this. Blocks, ropes and bolsters are all provided, and the practice is adapted to the body you walk in with. Wear something you can move in; that is the whole preparation.

  • Complete beginners
  • New to yoga or to alignment-based practice
  • Anyone wanting firmer fundamentals
About the Beginners’ Course
The studio before class: navy mats laid out in two neat rows, daylight from the window, the rope wall behind.

Twelve students

Small enough that the teacher sees every student, and remembers every body.

Taught in terms

Classes run as a twelve-week term, so a practice actually accumulates.

Online, together

Wednesday evenings run in the room and on screen at once, with a recording after.

A corner of the studio: six sets of white yoga ropes hanging from the wooden rope wall, singing bowls and dried flowers on the windowsill.
